Shown:
Disseminated granulomas (granulomatous hepatitis, splenitis, nephritis, oophoritis and peritonitis), multifocal to coalescing. Etiology: Disseminated mycobacterial infection with Mycobacterium marinum and Mycobacterium fortuitum.
Comments:
These Mycobacteria are zoonotic and have been associated with skin lesions in humans - fish tank granuloma or fish handler's disease.
