Equid, Horse: Kidney. Renal crest necrosis, multifocal to coalescing, acute. Secondary to renal medullary hypoperfusion induced by a combination of colitis (dehydration and hypotension) and NSAID administration (exacerbates hypoperfusion of the renal medulla).

Equid, Horse: Hoof/foot. Laminitis, diffuse, marked, acute to subacute with extensive P3 separation from the inner hoof wall and sole, which is accompanied by hemorrhage arising from the laminar dermis. The separation extends to the coronary band. This is an example of inflammatory laminitis occurring secondary to colitis.

Equid, Horse: Hoof/foot. Laminitis, locally extensive, moderate, acute to subacute with P3 separation from the inner hoof wall. This is an example of inflammatory laminitis occurring secondary to colitis.
