Plain-Language Description:
A front leg with the skin peeled away to both sides. The tendons and other soft tissues around the joint have a fine nubbly appearance and "sandpaper" feel caused by a parasite infection (besnoitiosis)
Pathology Description:
Multiple small nodules along the fascia. Parasitic fasciitis of the tendon and periarticular fascia caused by Besnoitia tarandi.
